Summary
As a Mainline CIPP Foreman, you will oversee the installation of Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) systems for the rehabilitation of mainline sewer and stormwater pipelines. You will also be responsible for ensuring that installation processes comply with industry best practices, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise and direct mainline CIPP installation crews on job sites, ensuring proper execution of mainline CIPP installations in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines, reducing installation failures and rework.
- Coordinate with project managers to schedule work and allocate resources effectively.
- Conduct pre- and post-installation inspections to ensure quality control.
- Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety procedures.
- Maintain and operate CIPP equipment, including inversion units, steam or hot water cure systems, and bypass pumping systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot installation challenges, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, safety compliance records, and project documentation.
- Ensure proper execution of mainline CIPP installations in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Enforce and improve job site safety measures to prevent incidents and maintain compliance.
- Lead and mentor CIPP crews, developing their skills and maximizing productivity.
- Optimize job site efficiency, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on all job sites.
- Ensure that tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality and integrity.
- Arrive at the office or job site on time and ready to work.
- Adhere to company policies.
- Works when scheduled and complies with the company attendance policy.
- Travel to various job sites as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license is required and pass a DOT drug test.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mainline CIPP installation.
- Strong knowledge of CIPP rehabilitation methods, including inversion and curing processes.
- Ability to lead and supervise a field crew effectively.
- Proficiency in operating CIPP installation equipment.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, train, and develop field crews.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges in the field.
- Knowledge of industry safety regulations, quality control, and best practices for trenchless rehabilitation.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using industry-specific equipment and software for project tracking and reporting.
- Must be able to interpret and implement company-mandated safety policies.
- Ability to manage, plan, schedule, and undertake work safely, independently, and professionally.
- Must adhere to safety policies and procedures, contribute to maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and demonstrate proficiency in wearing and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Work may be performed in industrial settings and outdoor environments, exposing employees to extreme temperatures, weather conditions, noise, mechanical and electrical hazards, chemical exposure, odors, and fumes. The role requires the ability to enter confined spaces as needed and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical demands include climbing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, prolonged standing, and using hands and fingers to operate tools.
Travel Requirements: Must be willing and capable of traveling weekly as required and on weekends as needed.
